Drawdown dock moves and monitoring
Every fall Entergy lowers Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine. Every spring they refill. If your dock sits in shallow water, it has to move with the lake, or it ends up resting on the bottom - which is how docks get damaged.
We have run this service for years. Two crews, east side and west side, working the first two weeks of November.
What the service covers. We move your dock out to deeper water before the lake drops. We monitor it through the drawdown and adjust as the water falls. We move it back when Entergy refills in the spring. And while we are out there, we flag anything we see - cable wear, float damage, loose hardware.
Timing for 2026/27. Moves start the first week of November. Spring draw-up is expected March 1 through 15; we confirm once Entergy publishes the actual refill dates.
Why it is worth doing. A dock sitting on the bottom through a drawdown can crack a frame, crush floats and bend a lift. The move costs a fraction of the repair.
